Service Pages vs Blog Posts: What Small Businesses Should Publish First
Small businesses should publish service pages before a blog. Here is how the two work together, with internal links that help customers and search.
SEO
A blog will not replace a missing service page. People who are ready to hire search for the service. People who are learning search for an explanation. Small businesses should publish the hiring pages first.
Publish the offer, then the explanation
Write a page for each service you want to sell this quarter. Include who it is for, what is included, where you work, and how to start. After those exist, write articles that answer the questions around them and link back. Google’s SEO Starter Guide describes helpful pages in the same spirit: match the reason for the visit.
Internal links do the joining
Each article should link to one service, such as SEO or local marketing, and each service page should link to one or two supporting posts. That is healthier than a blog that never mentions content or the quote form. The 90-day sequence is in SEO for small businesses.
A sensible order of work
Service pages, Google Business Profile, then a monthly article. Explore all services, the monthly blog topics, and request a quotation when you want the set written and linked properly.
Explore SEO
Rankings that grow. Visibility that compounds. Authority that sticks.
